  • To have excellent attendance & time-keeping – to be reliable and trustworthy
  • To try to be a good role model at all times
  • To provide an efficient, friendly reception service for all visitors to the school, ensuring that they are signed in following correct safeguarding procedures
  • To provide refreshments for visitors and for meetings
  • To deal with all incoming calls and emails in a professional manner
  • To assist with data input in the Student Information Management System (SIMS) (experience not necessary as training will be given).
  • To maintain manual and computerised pupil records
  • To assist with the organisation of visits by the school nurse, photographer etc.
  • To provide clerical support e.g. photocopying, filing and emailing.
  • To ensure that incoming post is distributed and outgoing post is dispatched correctly
  • To maintain the upkeep of the General Office, Office Kitchen and Reception area
  •  To maintain levels of refreshments in all staffrooms
  • To administer first aid as required, once training has been completed
  • To support other members of the team
  • To carry out any other reasonable duty as assigned by the Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team or Business Manager.
  • To follow school policies and procedures
  • To gather information from parents/carers, pass messages to the class teacher as requested
  • Establish effective working relationships and set a good example through excellent presentation and personal and professional conduct
  • Co-operate with other staff to ensure a sharing and effective usage of resources to the benefit of the school and children.
  • When required, take part in activities such as parents’ evenings, inset days and any other appropriate school events
  • To promote the welfare of children and to support the school in safeguarding children though relevant policies and procedures.
  • To promote equality as an integral part of the role and to treat everyone with fairness and dignity
  • To recognise health and safety is a responsibility of every employee, to take reasonable care of self and others and to comply with the School’s Health and Safety policy and any school-specific procedures that apply to this role
  • To support the Headteacher and Senior Leaders in promoting the ethos of the school
  • Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship 
  • An apprentice who is successful at our school could go on to do further training e.g to a level 3 when level 2 is completed
  • There is opportunity to become a permanent full time member of staff for an apprentice who has demonstrated their commitment to the school and their ongoing professional development
