Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship covering a 4-year period, which would cover paid day release at West Lancashire College and internal training across all areas of the ASCO site over an 18-month period (3 monthly periods) after which for the remainder of the apprenticeship will be in an area designed for the skillset of the apprentice. Responsibilities will include:

  • Learning how to read and understand drawings
  • Establish tooling requirements
  • Learning how to to read, understand and write CNC programs in FANUC this is a must
  • Learning how to  generate programs offline using CAPT Cad Cam system or One CNC
  • Learning how to use and read a range of measuring equipment

Full training will be provided and will be held at West Lancashire College
The qualification is Machining Techinican Level 3

After 4-year Apprenticeship the possibility of progressing to HNC/HND standard.
