Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and implementation of activities that promote children’s development
  • Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years
  • Support the team in maintaining a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Help monitor children’s progress and support their learning and development
  • Adhere to safeguarding and health and safety policies at all times

1.Early Years Practitioner

  • You can work as a fully qualified Early Years Educator in nurseries, pre-schools, or early years settings.
  • You’ll be responsible for planning and delivering early education to children from birth to 5 years old.

2. Room Leader or Senior Nursery Worker

  • With experience, you could move into a more senior role within a nursery, such as Room Leader, overseeing a specific age group and leading a team of practitioners.

3. Progress to Level 5 Diploma

  • You may choose to continue your education by pursuing a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or Leadership for the Children and Young People’s Workforce.
  • This will prepare you for management roles within the Early Years sector.
