MVG Industries are looking to hire a Finance Assistant Apprentice to join their growing team! In this role you will have a variety of duties and be supported by the team to complete your AAT qualifications.

Duties include:

  • Purchase Ledger    
    • Check and post purchase invoices, and reconcile suppliers’ statements.
    • Analyse suppliers’ accounts and address issues
    • Run, review and analyse Aged Creditors Report weekly
    • Challenge suppliers on proforma
    • Suggest and maintain KPIs
  • Sales Ledger
    • Raise customer invoices the day of the request.
    • Post on SAP incoming customer’s payments promptly.
  • HR/ Payroll /Pension
    • Collect, check and send time sheets for agency staff to the relevant agencies
  • Month End / Year End
    • Reconcile the Aged Creditors balance reconciliation to the Trial Balance
    • Analyse the utilities costs and post the corresponding accrual journal
    • Post additional journals
    • Various month end tasks
    • Ad hoc analysis following the preparation of the accounts
    • Suggest and maintain KPIs
    • Take an active role in the year end process and financial audit
  • Other finance tasks
    • Work on ad hoc analysis and duties as required by the business, suggest improvements, suggest KPIs, automate reports, prepare user guides on SAP Business by Design, etc

You will have 20% of your working week dedicated to your studies, 10% of which will be spent physically at The Apprentice Academy in Manchester. The other 10% will provide you time to work on revision for any upcoming exams and to complete any administrative tasks set by the Academy or required for your Apprenticeship.

You will be working towards L3 AAT qualifications.

Full time role at the company upon completion of apprenticeship.
