Childcare traineeship – The Learning Foundry

Do you dream of a career working with children? This programme is designed to give you the skills and experience required to get you where you want to be. It includes all the knowledge and skills you’ll need including:
- Knowledge of young children’s development
- Keeping children safe
- Employability skills
- Paediatric first aid
- Customer service skills
- Wellbeing and resilience
- Skills needed for the workplace
- Transferable skills such as communication, team work, problem solving
- Support with Maths and English (if required)
Will I get work experience?
As part of this course, you’ll undertake a work experience placement at a top local nursery. You’ll learn about the nursery environment and learn about how professionals take care of children and provide an enriching and engaging environment to support their development.
Will I get a qualification?
Upon completion of the course you’ll gain:
- NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate Introducing Caring for Children and Young People
- Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work
Where can I go?
