Looking to gain in-demand skills and boost your employability in the logistics , warehousing, or construction sectors? Our Forklift Truck Operator course is designed for adults aged 19+ who want to become certified, confident, and job-ready in a fast-growing industry.
Duration and Location: 3 Weeks on The Learning Foundry’s Campus followed by 1 weeks practical training on site in Skelmersdale. Multiple start dates throughout the year, with expert instructors and one-to-one support throughout.
What you’ll learn
- Safe operation of forklift trucks (theory and practical)

What you’ll achieve
This course combines practical forklift training with essential workplace efficiency skills to give you a competitive edge:
- Level 1 Certificate in Introduction to Lean Techniques – Learn how to work smarter, not harder. This qualification introduces you to Lean principles such as waste reduction, process improvement, and workplace organisation—skills highly valued in logistics and manufacturing.
- Level 2 Award in Forklift Truck Operations — Gain hands-on training in safe forklift operation, including pre-use checks, load handling, and manoeuvring. This nationally recognised qualification prepares you to operate counterbalance or reach trucks in a professional setting.
