Influence Policy and Programmes

  • Members have a direct opportunity to shape the Youth Guarantee Trailblazer (YGT) by sharing lived experiences and ideas.
  • Their feedback helps inform decisions made by the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority.
  • Meetings are short (30 minutes), held every 2 months, and take place within working hours (Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm).
  • This makes it easy to participate without disrupting other responsibilities.

The YAB is specifically designed for young people who:

  • Are not in education, employment, or training (NEET)
  • Have experience in the care system
  • Are SEND or neurodiverse

It’s a safe space to speak up and be heard.

Members gain experience in public speaking, policy engagement, and collaborative working.

It can be a valuable addition to CVs and job applications.

Connect with other young people across the Liverpool City Region

Build relationships with professionals working in policy and strategy

Members may receive certificates of participation, letters of recommendation, or other incentives

Contributions are acknowledged and valued by senior staff.
