As an Apprentice Statutory Coordinator, you’ll learn how to:
- Assist the Statutory Team Leader in ensuring all third parties engaged in activity in the completion of the work adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safe systems of work.
- Assist the Statutory Team Leader in ensuring all procedures and processes associated with the delivery of this work are documented, communicated and adhered to across the company
- Working with Commercial, ensure that all third-party contractor arrangements are robust and meet the technical requirements of the activities.
- Work with Engineering and Health and Safety Teams to ensure United Utilities is compliant with new legislation when implemented.
- Liaise with Capital Delivery Teams to ensure a robust process for handover of assets in compliance with the statutory inspection and maintenance requirements for the agreed asset and equipment types.
- Work with other areas of the business to ensure a delivery plan is in place to cover statutory compliance. Examples of assets include pressure vessels, lifting equipment, boilers, navigational markers, gas holders and pipework
- Ensure that job plans and access arrangements are in place to minimise aborted third-party contractor visits.
Your study will be the day-release model. Apprentices work for their employer four days a week and dedicate one day a week to study.
Every apprentice is guaranteed a permanent position at the end of their scheme. (As long as you meet all necessary standards and behaviour criteria throughout the programme.)
