IT’S NATIONAL APPRENTICESHIP WEEK!
This week is National Apprenticeship Week. This is a week-long celebration bringing together businesses and apprentices across the country to shine a light on the positive impact that apprenticeships make to individuals, businesses, and the wider economy.
As Be More is the apprenticeship and careers portal for Liverpool City Region we will be covering all aspects of apprenticeships from advice for employers, real apprentice stories and more.
(The hyperlinks will become active on the corresponding day)
We will be covering The Changing Apprenticeship Landscape and discussing how the type and level of apprenticeships has evolved over time, as well as new courses on the horizon and incoming funding. We will also be looking at the apprenticeship levy and how that has changed the funding of apprenticeships.
On Tuesday, we look at the role of employers in apprenticeships and explore the steps you need to take if you want to take on an apprentice. We also hear from some Liverpool City Region employers who have received support from the Liverpool City Region Employer Brokerage Service. Thanks to the levy transfer, employers can pledge or receive levy funding to support the employment of apprentices in the region.
On Wednesday, we hear about four apprentices in the city region, Abbie, Dan, Craig and Ross. They have all achieved great things through their apprenticeship and with the support of their employer. From securing jobs, supporting valuable causes and contributing to the wider city region. These apprentices give us an insight into the wide array of doors that their apprenticeships have opened for them – and could do for you too!
On Thursday, keep on eye on our social media for links to T-Level courses that are now available as well as more information about this new qualification.
On Friday, we will be looking at Be More and what it can offer you. With information about Liverpool City Region growth sectors, how to find apprenticeship vacancies and how to download the Be More app. To celebrate National Apprenticeship Week approaching it’s end – a full round up of the award winning Liverpool City Region Be More portal.
