If you’ve ever wanted to work in customer service in a major bank then we’ve got news for you. NatWest Group are looking for apprentices in the Liverpool City Region. They are looking for young talent with a passion for delivering great outcomes for their customers. If you have the character they are looking for, they are offering Level 2 apprenticeships in financial customer service together with a professional banking certificate.

The apprenticeship will help you build the customer service skills needed to excel as a first point of support for NatWest’s personal banking customers. You’ll be working in one of their telephony banking teams, delivering excellent customer service and keeping their needs and financial goals front of mind at all times. Customer Service Apprentices help customers understand their banking options, so they can make informed choices. You will be the helpful person at the other end of the phone ready to take customer calls, dealing with and referring customer queries. This will include carrying out day-to-day banking transactions, like paying bills. You will also be helping customers identify financial products and services that are right for them.

To succeed as a Financial Customer Services Apprentice you’ll need good communication skills. If you are a good listener and keen to provide a friendly, timely, professional service then this is the apprenticeship for you. NatWest are looking for each apprentice to be a people person. While you’ll need to have grade A-C or Level 4, Maths and English GCSE or equivalent results, this is not essential when you start. You can obtain these during your apprenticeship. If you have good numerical and organisational skills, together with an appetite to learn and develop others, you should consider applying.

LTSB is a social mobility charity that develops talented young people personally and professionally. Their partnership with NatWest Group gives you a great opportunity to prepare for this apprenticeship. The 10 day virtual boot camp shows you how to prepare to apply for an apprenticeship and provides lots of feedback to improve your chances of success. After that, there is an interview with members of the NatWest team who are looking for those who have thrived through the previous stages. The programme starts on 9th August 2021, and successful apprentices will begin working with NatWest on 13th September 2021.
