The Liverpool City Region will be hosting an important event designed to inform and inspire careers in 2022. It will bring together companies and young people across the Liverpool City Region with a range of interactive and fun activities. More than 6,000 delegates are anticipated as the event attracts students, teachers, families and carers. Welcoming them will be Liverpool City Region’s businesses looking to provide a detailed insight into the opportunities available to forge an exciting career in 2022.

The Liverpool City Region Skills Show is already in the diary of hundreds of young people keen to explore the opportunities available when they leave school or college. Forward thinking businesses will be there to meet them face to face, keen to help them carve out a successful career. This showcase event is designed to inspire the region’s future workforce from the next company directors to talented trades’ people. It will give young people attending the show a unique opportunity to spend one to one time with representatives from a wide range of organisations. Importantly, friends, family and teachers can also be there to explore the exciting opportunities available together. Liverpool City Region businesses are already working hard to build interactive activities that will demonstrate future career paths including apprenticeships.

The Liverpool City Region Skills Show 2022 has been long awaited with the pandemic delaying this highly anticipated event. The date is set for the 19th January 2022. There will also be a special twilight session on the evening before the event designed for delegates who want to find out about real job and apprenticeship vacancies in the area and do so in a more social atmosphere with friends, families and carers.

Apprenticeship Support by Be More has created this event. Funded by ESF it will be the region’s largest skills and careers event in 2022. “January is great timing for this important event. It gives potential 2022 apprentices an introduction to companies with forthcoming apprenticeships and a great insight into what being an apprentice is about. Informal face to face discussions are the prerequisites for exploring which organisations suit which people. It’s the ideal environment to ask key questions before starting a formal application,” says Mel Dodd, Apprenticeship Support Skills Strategy Manager.

Residents across Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St. Helens and Wirral can visit the Liverpool City Region Skills Show 2022 for free. You will need to book your ticket before the show, so why not do that now and get the 19th January marked in your diary. It’s likely to be a great beginning to a successful year in your career.
