A number of exciting new leadership interventions have launched in partnership with the Liverpool City Region Race Equality Hub.
With so much going on at the Race Equality Hub over the coming weeks and months the following introductory video highlights what some of the interventions are and provides some further detail.
Current partners the Race Equality Hub are working with include: LJMU, Grace Hola, SO Health and The Connectives!

There are 4 separate but related leadership interventions for individuals to participate in or share with interested parties.
- The Connectives – [email protected] – Positively Governing Board readiness. This project aims to equip and develop skills to be effective in board rooms and diversify tables where decisions are made. You will be upskilled to be able to use your voice and lived experiences effectively to drive change and impact. Almost full but may be able to get some last minute candidates on to this following an informal interview.

- LJMU – [email protected] – Reciprocal mentoring programme – Mentoring programme with senior leaders from across the city region. You will both mentor each other giving invaluable insight to leaders about your lived experiences as a Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic person from the city region and how they can support your leadership growth and give invaluable insight and opportunities to develop your skills. Help senior managers understand challenges related to race equality. Equip managers with tools to address these challenges in their organisations and foster a sense of belonging and inclusion for ethnically diverse staff.

- GraceHola – [email protected] – Shadowing programme this offers people working across LCR the opportunity to shadow senior leaders across a number of organisations to gain experience to be able to develop their own leadership qualities and gain new experiences to be able to apply to their journey of advancing to leadership. Personalised leadership development through shadowing experienced senior leaders with access to potential career advancement opportunities. This experience will help gain hands-on insights into leadership roles in real-world environments, whilst developing leadership competencies and innovative thinking

- SO Health – [email protected] – Race based support for Black leaders – This programme is to support leaders who are Black, operating in a leadership space that require support, from the perspective of offering race based trauma support and/or empowerment for Black leaders who are often operating in usually an isolated field. This programme aims to bring some of those Black leaders together for shared learning, support, and connection.
