Apprentice Early Years Practitioner

Daily duties include but are not limited to:

• Helping to plan exciting activities for the children
• Supervising and acting as a role model for the children
• Undertaking general housekeeping within the room to ensure a clean, tidy, and safe environment
• Preparation of light snacks
• Supervising lunch times
• Engaging in room briefings/meetings and contributing own thoughts and ideas
• Showing ability to work as part of the team whilst also showing initiative and developing an understanding of own roles and responsibilities
• Ensuring that paperwork is kept up to date and making records when needed
• Undertaking any training and inductions that are relevant to your role
• Following all policies and procedures that are in place

• Early Year Practitioner Level 2
• You will complete 6 hours off the job training each week, which will take place at Tree Tots Nursery
• Functional Skills in English and maths if required

Upon completion of the apprenticeship, the successful candidate could potentially progress onto the level 3 early years educator apprenticeship or, depending on suitability and job availability at the time, gain permanent employment.
