We are offering an apprenticeship to enable an apprentice to start their working life in one of the largest industries(construction). We are a close-knit friendly team, James our operations manager was an admin apprentice himself. We believe in trusting in our apprentices, would like them to feel they can have input in any discussions the team has.

  • Answer and direct phone calls
  • Deal with any queries that come in via phone / email and distribute to the relevant person.
  • Organise and schedule diary / calendar
  • Write and distribute email – monitor mailbox
  • Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
  • Maintain a filing system
  • Generate purchase orders
  • Assist in QA of projects
  • Order supplies / Plant equipment
  • Monitor office supplies and order when needed
  • Maintain quality check of items on reports
  • Provide general support to visitors
  • Monitor/update site tracker (updating spreadsheet with what material/plant equipment is on site(s) and completion/status of works)
  • Assist supervisor with “booking in” of employees work
  • Monitor social media
  • Assist supervisor in developing new social media content and learn graphic design software – This isn’t mandatory, just if the person is interested
  • Working towards a Level 3 Business Admin Apprenticehip 
  • Monthly 1-1 Visits with Development Coach 

The pathway for the apprentice could be “Office Manager”, taking control of the company’s office and leading it. You may also choose to move into Social Media or Graphic Design.

DAB Passive Fire Protection Specialists Ltd are experts in all aspects of fire protection and firestopping within the construction industry. We have been established as a company since 2016; but our Director boasts 25 years of experience in the industry; with contracts that cover the North West and all around the United Kingdom. DAB Passive Fire Protection Specialists hold IFC Certification, which we take immense pride in, as this is a registered 3rd part accreditation. We have 14 members of staff who are all fully trained and competent. We cover a wide range of firestopping such as: • Surveying • Firestopping & Cavity Barriers • Beam Encasements • Intumescent Coatings • Structural Work • Remedial Work We know how important it is for our clients and the industry to both ensure and demonstrate compliance, which we are very passionate about and like to have a valid path of traceability. We are passionate about developing young trainees and giving them a pathway to utilise all their potential and develop into a key member of our team. Some examples of this has been our firestopping personnel who have joined not knowing anything about the industry and becoming site supervisors. We like give people the chance to learn and grow.
